Agency Customer Service Representative
General Definition
An Agency CSR provides assistance to the Agency Force and occasionally Farm Bureau members for property and casualty business brokered to companies outside of NC Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Respond to email communication and phone calls from the Agency Force regarding policy servicing needs.
Quote and bind coverage for various lines of property and casualty business.
Process applications for new business and renewals.
Account invoicing for new business, additional premiums and renewals.
Maintain current client documentation and records in the Agency Management System.
Distribute policies and various forms that are received during the policy period.
Issue certificates of insurance.
Forward claim notices to appropriate companies and assist in pertinent correspondence regarding claims.
Process renewal, cancellation and reinstatement documentation as required.
Verify membership status.
Special Training, Education, Knowledge and Skills Required:
Agent’s property & casualty license will be required.
Must have very good oral and written communication skills.
Strong organization skills.
Strong work ethic with the ability to deliver high quality results in a time-sensitive environment, as well as the ability to take initiative in a professional manner.
Pleasant and outgoing personality.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Demonstrated working knowledge of the Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Strong teamwork and collaborative skills, including excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and with others.
Complete understanding or willingness to learn policies, procedures, principles, concepts, practices, and standards as they pertain to the Agency.
